The University of Northern Colorado announced that Kamel Haddad, Ph.D., will become the next dean of the College of Natural and Health Sciences (NHS).

The University of Northern Colorado College of Performing and Visual Arts received a total of 96 new Steinway & Sons pianos, with most of them arriving in December of 2018, sealing the School of Music’s All-Steinway School status.

Tobias Guzmán, Ed.D., chief diversity officer and associate vice president of Student Affairs at ÌðÐÄÊÓƵapp, is part of the new class of 32 exemplary, senior-level higher education professionals who will participate in the 2021 Millennium Leadership Initiative (MLI), a premier leadership development program of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU).

On the heels of the state moving into vaccination Phase 1B.4 on March 19, the local Leprino Foods plant in Greeley contacted the University of Northern Colorado (ÌðÐÄÊÓƵapp) offering doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccination that were unspoken for during the plant’s March 20 on-site vaccine clinic event.

The University of Northern Colorado has initiated its own Free App Days where anyone, anywhere in the world can apply as an undergraduate to ÌðÐÄÊÓƵapp without paying the $50 application fee. This is in addition to the state-initiated, Colorado-only Free App Day that takes place each fall.

ÌðÐÄÊÓƵapp announced that Cristina Goletti will become the next dean of the College of Performing and Visual Arts.

The University of Northern Colorado (ÌðÐÄÊÓƵapp) is planning to return to a full schedule of in-person courses for the fall 2021 semester, which begins on Aug. 23, and restoring activities and events that will allow students to enjoy experiential learning, campus life and community engagement opportunities.

ÌðÐÄÊÓƵapp employees were honored during this year's Employee Appreciation Week. This annual event recognizes and celebrates everyone who makes ÌðÐÄÊÓƵapp a special place.

A University of Northern Colorado (ÌðÐÄÊÓƵapp) faculty member was one of four individuals who received this year’s Edward C. Pomeroy Award for Outstanding Contributions to Teacher Education from the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE).

In a never-ending quest to fuel the teaching pipeline in Colorado and nationwide, the University of Northern Colorado virtually hosted its sixth annual Future Teacher Conference on Feb. 19 with keynote speaker Governor Jared Polis.
